BEBCE PÁRDY VOLUNTEER

"I volunteered on the Tisza River for five months. During the spring floods, I collected tons of waste arriving mostly from Ukraine. After the first Tisza Lake PET Cup, I returned to Tiszafüred in early July to continue this activity. During this period, I discharged the surrounding waters and floodplain forests of approximately seven tons, mostly plastic waste. I managed to fund my work through donations, so special thanks to everyone who helped."

Curator's opinion

"Everyone knows that we should really save the Earth now somehow, but Bence Párdy was not only thinking about it, but he was ready to act, making huge sacrifices. Bence is not upset by the fact that he has to start from the beginning when there is a flood, because he is not working for spectacular results, but for giving to nature. I am very pleased that there is a platform in Hungary today to highlight his story, though I am sure he is not motivated by recognition. Hopefully, this example will inspire many people, even for everyday casualties."
