SÁRA DÁNYÁDI: DOWNTOWN FLORA

This publication introduces 65 plants of downtowns which are accepted as natural living places of human kind but as a special ones of vegetation. Each description of the introduced plants emphasizes how they are important in our traditions, mythologies and medicine, etc. Hence, this book highlights that even though in our everyday urban environment the appearance of nature is artificial, our existence and mindset are still naturally interfused with plants and vegetation.

Curator's opinion

"We walk past them every day without knowing anything about them. But their absence would be very noticeable and we always want more of them. The importance of urban plants because of stress and pollution is more important than ever. Sarah Dányádi's pocket book helps us to appreciate them better."
